Spiders Could Theoretically Eat Every Human In A year

Leave it to science to give you nightmares tonight. As if you weren't already scared of these 8 legged monsters, now knowing that, Earth's population of spiders, eat more meat in pounds per year than humans on the planet pretty much means we're itching right now.

I'm not personally afraid of spiders, but I also do actively seek out spiders to play with. In fact, as I'm typing this I'm itchy AF thinking about how we could all be doomed if spiders somehow become bloody thirsty for human flesh.

And this study isn't talking about becoming Peter Parker...nope, in fact this insane stat is from this recent entomological survey (and CRAY SURVEY).

Of all the info in this study, the opening line is what has me cringing in my studio seat right now:

"A recent entomological survey of North Carolina homes turned up spiders in 100 percent of them, including 68 percent of bathrooms and more than three-quarters of bedrooms."

That's every house studied in this experiment...EVERY. SINGLE. HOME had a spider in it. And 75% of those homes had one in the one room in the house WHERE YOU'RE ALWAYS NAKED!!!
