Search for Missing Jacksonville Child Extended to Alabama

JACKSONVILLE -- Jacksonville detectives are in Alabama, extending the search for a five year old girl reported missing last week. Jacksonville Sheriff Mike Williams (no relation) says Taylor Williams' mother, Brianna Williams, still isn't talking.

"She has not spoken to us since Wednesday, and she is the last person to see Taylor," the sheriff said. "She is a person of interest in this case, and we still need her cooperation."

The sheriff is asking anyone who has seen Taylor and her mother together, anywhere between Jacksonville and Alabama, in the last two weeks to contact his detectives. The car is black, a 2017 Honda Accord, and has the Tampa Bay Buccaneers custom license plate # QNBRI.

Homicide detectives, the missing persons unit, and support staff are on the scene near Demopolis, Alabama, and more than three dozen members of a Jacksonville search and rescue team are about to join them.
