Concerns Over Florida's Post-Thanksgiving Plan For Nursing Home Residents

The AARP is worried Florida could be putting nursing home residents in danger this Thanksgiving.

The state announced this week that residents who reenter long-term care facilities after the holiday don't have to get tested for COVID-19.

Instead, they only have to get screened for symptoms, and if symptoms are detected, those residents will be quarantined.

An AARP spokesman says that without reliable, rapid-result testing, things could turn deeply dangerous as we move deeper into winter.
