There's no mass vaccination site operating in Palm Beach County, but it appears that may change soon.
The Health Care District of Palm Beach County has listed an online job posting, in the search for coronavirus vaccine assistants. Based on the job description, employees would report to the South Florida Fairgrounds to help with vaccination efforts, starting at the end of January.
County Health Director, Dr. Alina Alonso with the Florida Dept. of Health, has said that the long-range plan is to have a mass vaccination site, but supplies of the COVID vaccine coming into the county must increase first.
Meanwhile, a COVID-19 vaccination site will be operating just over 50 miles to the north, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie.
That was one of seven places of worship announced by Governor DeSantis where about 500 shots a day will be administered to those ages 65 and older.
