The Tampa Bay Rays (17-21) defeated the Milwaukee Brewers (19-20) 4-3 on Friday night at Steinbrenner Field. It snaps a three-game skid for the Rays, who were coming off of a home sweep against the Phillies during the week.
This game was back and forth throughout - it was a bases loaded walk to Taylor Walls that ultimately gave the Rays the 4-3 lead that would prove to be difference. Zack Littell gave the Rays a quality start, pitching six innings in which he allowed two runs - one earned - on six hits while striking out five and walking one.
The Rays and Brewers now meet in the second game of the three-game series on Saturday afternoon. First pitch Saturday is scheduled for 4:10 PM - Chris Adams-Wall begins pregame coverage at 3:30 PM on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620.
