Cutler Bay, FL - A 55-year-old Florida man was apprehended by Miami-Dade police on Tuesday following an investigation revealed he was in possession of child pornography and bestiality videos.
Authorities say Jesus Enrique Orono-Gotera is facing a total of 15 counts of possession of sexual performance by a child, four counts of promoting sexual performance of a child, and one count of engaging in sexual activities involving animals.
According to police, the arrest stemmed from a cyber-tip received by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children on December 24th, 2022.
The tip, originating from Meta platforms including Facebook, alerted authorities to Orono-Gotera's uploading and sharing of files containing child sexual abuse material with ten other Facebook subscribers.
Among these subscribers, seven were identified as adults and the remaining three were listed as juveniles.
A search warrant granted access to Orono-Gotera's Facebook account, which revealed a cache of files containing child pornography featuring boys as young as 4 to 6 years old.
Authorities also discovered a video depicting bestiality during the search.
The arrest report noted that while Orono-Gotera faces charges related to 15 counts of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) possession, he was found in possession of over 100 CSAM files and videos/photographs of child erotica.
Following his apprehension at his "temporary" residence in Cutler Bay, Orono-Gotera was detained for further questioning by U.S. Secret Service special agents.
An examination of his phone revealed multiple VPN applications downloaded on the device.
Orono-Gotera, a Venezuelan citizen residing in the U.S. under Temporary Protective Status, remains in custody at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center pending further legal proceedings.
