Sarasota, FL - A Sarasota County man is celebrating a life-changing win after scoring a $25 million jackpot from a Florida Lottery scratch-off ticket.
According to a Florida Lottery announcement on April 18, 2025, 45-year-old Kyle Lindquist of Venice purchased a $50 “500X the Cash” ticket at a Circle K on U.S. Highway 41 Bypass South.
The lucky ticket landed him the game’s top prize.
Lindquist opted to receive a one-time lump-sum payout of $16 million rather than annual payments.
The retailer that sold the winning ticket will also receive a $50,000 bonus commission from the lottery.
The “500X the Cash” scratch-off game launched with two top prizes of $25 million and 160 prizes worth $1 million.
As of April 2025, Lindquist is the first to claim one of the two $25 million jackpots, meaning one still remains.
The odds of winning any prize in this game are approximately 1 in 4.23.
The chances of hitting the $25 million jackpot are roughly 1 in 21.9 million, while the odds of winning $1 million are around 1 in 274,000.
Florida Lottery officials report that 88 players have already won $1 million prizes from this game since January 2024.
Other lottery updates include a $112 million Mega Millions jackpot claimed in Ohio on April 18, with the next drawing set for April 22.
Meanwhile, the Powerball jackpot has climbed to $139 million, with the next draw scheduled for April 21.
Players are reminded to play responsibly and understand the odds before purchasing tickets.
