Raiford, FL - A man once suspected of being linked to the infamous O.J. Simpson case was executed in Florida for a separate murder committed nearly three decades ago.
Glen Edward Rogers, a 62-year-old Ohio native known as the “Casanova Killer,” was put to death by lethal injection at Florida State Prison on May 16th.
He was convicted of the 1995 killing of Tina Marie Cribbs, a 34-year-old mother of two, whom he met at a bar in Tampa before fatally stabbing her in a motel room.
Authorities apprehended Rogers in Kentucky days later, driving her stolen car.
Rogers had previously been sentenced to death in California for the murder of Sandra Gallagher, also committed in 1995.
Both victims shared similar characteristics, including red hair and a petite build, a pattern seen among several of Rogers’ alleged victims.
Though never charged, Rogers was once considered a possible suspect in the 1994 murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman after a 2012 documentary suggested he had confessed to the crimes.
Los Angeles authorities later dismissed the theory, affirming no connection to Rogers.
In his final moments, Rogers thanked his wife and made a cryptic statement about future revelations.
He also voiced support for former President Donald Trump, saying, “President Trump, keep making America great. I’m ready to go.”
Rogers becomes the fifth person executed in Florida this year.
His execution follows years of appeals citing childhood abuse and recent legal changes, all of which were ultimately rejected by the courts.
