St. Petersburg, FL - St. Petersburg police are investigating after a woman reported finding a sexually explicit note on her car outside a Goodwill store on 34th Street North.
The woman, who shared her experience on TikTok under the username @brooklynkarasack, said she discovered the note after finishing her shopping.
Her video describing the incident has since gone viral, drawing attention from other users who claim to have experienced similar encounters in the same area.
Several people commented on the viral post, saying they also found inappropriate notes on their cars while parked near the same plaza.
Employees at nearby stores confirmed hearing similar reports from customers.
One local worker said the situation has made some shoppers uneasy and suggested that an increased security presence could help deter future incidents.
According to St. Petersburg police, anyone who discovers an explicit or harassing note on their vehicle should immediately report it to both law enforcement and the business where it occurred.
Police said documenting each incident allows investigators to identify patterns and potentially connect the behavior to a single suspect.
Officers can then work with nearby businesses to review surveillance footage and issue trespass warnings if necessary.
Authorities are continuing to monitor the area and are urging residents to remain aware of their surroundings.
Reports can be made by calling the department’s non-emergency number.
