This really was a dream come true for us. Our friend invited us to the launch of the Parker Solar Probe that lifted off this weekend.
Long story short...we napped Friday night then woke up early Saturday morning at 12:45am, headed to Kennedy Space Center and waited until 4am only to have the mission scrubbed and rescheduled.
So...we did it all over again Sunday morning. Luckily everything was a go!
Seeing this in person was definitely worth only getting sleep in two hour increments the whole weekend. Thanks to our friend Adam for making this happen for us.
The new solar probe will travel closer to the Sun than any spacecraft in history. Hope you enjoy the picture and video we took from the launch.
