Rebecca Fishman Lipsey is a dynamic force for social innovation and equity in Greater Miami. As President and CEO of The Miami Foundation, she leads one of the region’s most impactful philanthropic institutions, which has invested over $772 million into strengthening Miami since its founding. Under her leadership since 2020, the Foundation’s assets have grown by more than 50%, a testament to her collaborative spirit and commitment to joyful, purpose-driven work.

Rebecca has infused the Foundation with a deep focus on equity, collective impact, and community engagement. She is currently spearheading efforts to build a physical home base for nonprofit strength and civic solutions—further anchoring the Foundation’s role as a catalyst for meaningful change.

Before joining The Miami Foundation, Rebecca founded Radical Partners, an incubator for social-impact ventures. Her career began in public education, and she later served a four-year term on the Florida Board of Education, shaping policy for over 3 million students statewide.

Her contributions have earned her numerous accolades, including the 2024 South Florida “Ultimate CEO” award, Miami-Dade’s Mayor’s Pioneer Award, and recognition from Florida Trend, Miami Today, and The Miami Herald. Yet, she considers her greatest achievement to be raising two kind-hearted sons.

Rebecca holds a master’s degree from Bank Street College of Education and was valedictorian of her undergraduate class at the University of Pennsylvania. Outside of work, she enjoys playing piano, neighborhood walks with her husband of 21 years, and spirited games of Uno with her boys.
