In case you've been living under a rock here in Central Florida, the newest water park to open is Universal's Volcano Bay! The water park is on the Universal Property and most of it can be seen as you pass by heading west on I-4.
The theme park has your traditional lazy river and tube riding water slides, but it also features water coasters (you'll see soon) and two trap door water slides built into the main attraction; the volcano of Volcano Bay!
So you've not heard of a water coaster? It's exactly as it sounds, a roller coaster but in water, this is Krakatau:
Next, is something I'm surprised I'm just now seeing! Growing up, you remember having to lug up those inner tubes at Wet N Wild??? Well, that's so 20th Century...look at how Volcano Bay gets the inner tubes up to you in this ride, called Taniwha Tubes:
But hands down, the main attraction is the volcano and this intense slide, where you have two choices...both of which have trap doors that shoot you down from the Orlando sky.
We're already close to the end of June, so you need to get there before Summer 17 ends...or maybe that's just me feeling the urgency!
