Traumatic Brain Injuries, TBI's, are scary situations for many Americans. And TBI's affect a very many number of our service men and women. In fact, in 2016 over 17,000 soldiers were diagnosed in suffering from a TBI, according to the Department of Defense.
Scary numbers indeed, but not nearly as scary as the situation itself. So enter, Colt, a service dog trained to basic be a pillow and absorb any severe neck movements that could potentially paralyzed the owner.
Colt was trained by his owner to be able to look for the signs of a seizure oncoming, trained to immediately fall between the neck and floor, and will stay in that position until the seizure is over.
Colt is truly, a good boy!
