The Rio Olympics, One Year Later...It's Not The Same

Last summer, leading up to the Summer Games, the headlines read "Will the stadiums be done in time?", "Is it safe for the athletes?", "What about the conditions of the water???", all valid questions and concerns. But, besides on American swimmer who lied his way back to America, the Summer Games saw Michael Phelps become the greatest Olympic athlete of all time, Men's Basketball reigned supreme, and Usain Bolt was still the fastest man on the planet...

But, the biggest story was always about the facilities...

And in this video from Reuters, you'll see almost everything is in disrepair, never used, and in fact most of Rio still has trash all over. 

As good as the games were, building all that in Rio was truly a waste of money.
