I'm still what some would call a "noob" to the sushi game. Up until a few years ago, I've always had bad experiences with sushi and so I stayed away from it. Until one day, and old friend of mine and I went to go catch up on life at Matt's Casbah, and I decided it was time to try my old foe again.
To my surprise, I didn't get sick, sushi didn't kick my butt later, and it was a lovely experience. That was about 2 years ago, and now I will try sushi any where. I'll try different rolls, different combinations, and different fish. YOLO right?
Well...I'm guilty. I've been eating sushi wrong and it's time to get a proper education in sushi eating techniques. So the next time you go out for a Rainbow Roll, take this advice with you, from a real life Sushi Chef in Japan:
Siam Orchid in Cocoa Beach has amazing Sushi, and when you go...say hi to my old friend Thomas who's behind the bar! He can tell you stories about me in high school!
Ahhh my old reliable...Matt's Casbah in Downtown Melbourne...and my amazing hashtag of "Here Fishy Fishy"!
Just a few months ago, on a vacation day, I took my mom out to Fujiyama and she tried sushi for the first time. She was a trooper and we had a great lunch date!
