When I got to work today, a co-worker had this live feed up in his office. The sky's were a light grey and the wind was a steady howl with waves crashing ever so slightly. As the two of us were just shooting the breeze to each other 20 minutes went by and we both realized we were screaming in his office.
Not because of a disagreement but because the video of Hurricane Florence being streamed on his computer started to get more violent!
As of 11am and the National Weather Service's 11am update, Florence has been downgraded to a Category 2 Hurricane, as the storm begins to make a full landfall on the North Carolina coast.
Rain bands from #Florence are already well inland. This is just the beginning of a very long-duration, potentially-catastrophic flooding event well-inland.— NWS (@NWS) September 13, 2018
