For many MANY months now, we've either looked left or looked right to see the progress being made on the Brightline Train construction making its way from Miami/Ft Lauderdale...through all of Brevard County and then over towards OIA (and eventually Disney Springs and Tampa). But this is the 2nd phase of the project. And now the 2nd phase is hitting it's highest gear yet. Literally and figuratively. Starting on January 17th (next Monday as of writing this story) Brightline trains will start going up and down the lines through Brevard County as part of a training exercise for engineers and conductors. The trains will NOT be carrying passengers and it is unknown just how fast the trains will be passing through the multiple train crossings from Cocoa to Sebastian.
